Overview
The Essentium HSE 180-S 3D printer sits in the middle of the Essentium HSE range with support for both low-temp and standard filaments. This is thanks to a higher nozzle, bed and part temperature range than the LT model.
Additionally, the HSE 180-S has a sealed build chamber and an upgraded Active DryAir Manifold drying system over the LT model. These upgrades are necessary for printing standard thermoplastics which, in general, have lower tolerances than low-temp materials, so need a more carefully controlled environment.
Print fast at scale
The HSE 180-S 3D printer is designed to operate in the most demanding production environments and produce high-quality parts and models consistently. The key selling point, however, is its incredible print and build speed.
Essentium’s High Speed Extrusion (HSE) print technology enables you to reliably print at speeds greater than 500 m/s -- 5 to 15x faster than the competition.
Add that massive 740 x 510 x 650 mm build volume to the mix, and you have an additive manufacturing tool truly capable of rapid production and at scale. Small series production runs are made possible, and the process is fully automated.
Enhanced material range
The HSE 180-S prints Essentium’s low-temp and standard filament range. The low-temp range comprises PLA XTR, TPU - 74D, TPU - 74D ESD, TPU - 90A FR, PCTG, PCTG ESD and PA - CF. The standard range comprises PA, PP, PET, HTN, HTN ESD and HTN - CF25.
These materials are engineered specifically for Essentium printers, providing the most desirable properties for impact loading, fatigue, tensile, flexural and thermal, helping you make the most of the 180-S’s wicked print speed.
Potential applications include consumer goods, electronics casings, automotive parts, fixtures, jigs, castings and functional parts. The HSE 180-S is perfect for the manufacturing line and can be considered a replacement for conventional FFF technology in industry. It is faster, more reliable and delivers greater control and accuracy.
