The FlashForge Creator Pro is an incredibly capable 3D printer. This particular model is an updated version of the original and much-loved Creator X. It is extremely robust, with a sturdy metal frame and industrial-grade mechatronics for outstanding reliability.
Powerful and Capable
If we could choose two words to describe the Creator Pro, they would be powerful and capable. That’s because it will 3D print at a maximum resolution of 0.1 mm (100 microns), has a build volume of 225 mm x 145 mm x 150 mm, and can print with a wide range of 3D printing materials to create everything from mechanical parts to packaging prototypes. It is very consistent too, thanks to its sturdy metal frame which improves extruder stability.
With Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) technology at its core, the Creator Pro transcends regular desktop 3D printers with an industrial-grade dual-extruder system and an advanced platform levelling system. It can 3D print ABS, PLA and a wide range of third party filaments, including ColorFabb BronzeFill and CopperFill, and other experimental materials, and the chamber can be opened or left closed, to maximise ABS and PLA part consistency.
The Creator Pro is user-friendly, and comes absolutely loaded with features which make it a joy to use. For instance, the chamber is sealed with a large, translucent acrylic cover so that you can peer in at your prints, and the build chamber is bathed in blue light, courtesy of LEDs. The build plate is also made from aluminium, which is the best material because it will not warp when exposed to high heat, unlike acrylic. And perhaps best of all, the Creator Pro is controlled through a simple LCD display with physical buttons.
The Creator Pro even has internal handles to make moving it easier, and the front panel opens out to 180° to make part removal a piece of cake. Other thoughtful design details include plastic levelling knobs with a simplified three-point levelling system, an integrated top cover for full-enclosure and SD card and USB connectivity for sending files to print. The Creator Pro is also open-source, allowing for flexible upgrades and your choice of software.
