Dental SG is Formlabs’ first biocompatible photopolymer resin for dental professionals.
A Class 1 resin conforming to multiple ISO standards, including EN-ISO 10993-1:2009/AC:2010 for evaluation and testing, Dental SG Resin has been designed for dental professionals and practitioners who with it can design and print precise surgical and drill guides and educational models, aligners, retainers and bleaching trays.
Formlabs set out to create a new resin for the dental industry which has been using the Form 2 3D printer for some time. Dental SG is the result, and it has the potential to revolutionise pre-surgical planning and improve patient experience. With it, dental professionals can integrate CBCT and intraoral scan data into their 3D prints and create highly precise models that can be autoclaved and sterilised for use inside patient’s mouths.
Dental SG resin is engineered to comply with all relevant industry standards and it has been extensively tested. Please note that for the best results, models printed with Dental SG Resin must be post-cured for 10 minutes. Formlabs recommend a curing time of 10 minutes at 60°C under both UV-A and UV-Blue light. In addition to this, Formlabs has issued extensive instructions for use, which you can find here.
Here are some of the common questions we get
for Formlabs Dental SG Resin Cartridge (1L), if you have any more questions, please
don't hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org
or phone 01765 540 115.
Yes. You can reuse resin that is in your tank after a print, please do not return resin to the resin cartridge to avoid potential contamination. The Form 2 orange cover protects unused resin from ambient light.
Outside of the printer or resin cartridge, resin can be stored in the standard Resin Tank with the lid on for up to one month and in Resin Tank LT with the lid on for up to two months. Empty or use any excess resin before storing resin tanks for longer than this. Do not pour liquid resin back into the original container.
