Zortrax Z-HIPS - Black (800g)

Zortrax Z-HIPS is a thermoplastic polymer with high impact resistance, a low level of deformation and extreme resistance to warping.

This is the ideal filament for printing larger models. Parts printed with Z-HIPS are strong and functional. Z-HIPS filament has one of the highest impact strengths of any thermoplastic polymer on the market making it perfect for printing precise, functional prototypes or end-use parts. We have seen Z-HIPS used to 3D print housings for consumer electronics, architecture mock ups and retail products, such as stool buffets and table tops. Perhaps the best application for Z-HIPS though is models with large, flat surfaces.

The official properties for this filament are - low hardness, medium elasticity, high impact strength and high tensile strength. Parts printed with Z-HIPS have a matte appearance and they can be sanded down or sandblasted. They can also be glued or painted. However parts look fantastic without any finishing, which is testament to the quality of Z-HIPS.

Zortrax Z-HIPS filament is supported by the M200 3D printer only. Inventure owners should buy Z-ULTRAT Plus and Z-SUPPORT. To find out more about Z-HIPS or for help choosing the best filament for your project, give our team a call on 01765 540 115 or email web@goprint3d.co.uk.

    Zortrax

Whenever we are asked by someone what 3D printer they should buy, there are always a few brands on the tip of our tongue. And Zortrax is always one of them. The reason is simple - quality. From their printers to their filaments and supplies, Zortrax create a quality product. We know fresh from the box, their printers will work, and their materials will be on point. There’s never an unwelcome surprise with Zortrax.

This consistency is why professionals use them religiously. From moving product prototyping in-house to making accurate dental models from 3D patient scans, there’s a Zortrax 3D printer to be found in nearly every application. Not on a trial basis either, but as an embedded product that solves a design or production challenge.

Zortrax was founded in 2013 and is a Polish brand. Early machines won awards, and that trend has continued ever since. They make their own filaments which offer an additive manufacturing solution to common applications. Z-NYLON, for example, is incredibly strong and can be processed with machines meant for machining metals. There are countless more materials to choose from which transcend the use cases of ABS and PLA.

We are an authorised Zortrax reseller and can recommend the right product for your use case. Please contact us if you require help choosing.
