The E3D V6 Extra Nozzle 3mm - Brass fits a wide range of 3D printers, including the 3DP 1000 and Ultimaker 2+ and 2 Extended+. It is a direct replacement or spare for the existing nozzle on your 3D printer. The V6 Nozzle is to be used with non-abrasive filament, such as ABS, PLA and PVA. Brass has a great balance of properties, being thermally conductive, non-corroding and extremely smooth. It’s also low-cost, making it the ideal nozzle material for prototyping and for creating low-cost end-use parts.
Please note that if you are going to be printing with an abrasive filament such as ColorFabb’s CopperFill or BrassFill, you will need a Hardened Steel Nozzle. Brass nozzles are only suitable for printing with softer filaments; a brass nozzle will wear down considerably after extruding just 100g of carbon fibre, while a hardened steel nozzle won’t wear down at all.
The product for sale on this page is an official E3D V6 Extra Nozzle that’s 3mm in size. It is available in sizes 0.25mm, 0.3mm, 0.35mm, 0.4mm, 0.5mm and 0.6mm, to suit a wide range of filament diameters. It is compatible with several 3D printers; if you are unsure about compatibility with your own, drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01765 694 199 and we will be able to advise you.
