Leapfrog MAXX PRO Flex is a really fun material to work with. This is an ultra-flexible and extremely strong material with high elasticity. It is for creating parts that stay flexible when printed, and it can also be combined with PLA to create flexible yet sturdy parts.
Printed on its own, MAXX PRO Flex has a rubber-like or silicone-like consistency. For instance, you can 3D print rubber wheels and grips for hand tools, or housings for parts that need protection. However, the real fun begins when you combine Flex with PLA, or another material with a similar melting point. This enables you to 3D print solid structures that have outstanding flexibility and rigidity in one go - so there’s no need for two separate parts.
MAXX PRO Flex prints with an extruder temperature of 210-255 °C, and with a bed temperature of 20-50 °C. It is available in Clear, White and Black. White and Black are opaque colours, while Clear is mildly translucent, allowing some light to pass through. These three colours are all excellent, with a smooth, matte finish when printed. Flex is compatible with and supported by the Leapfrog Bolt, Creatr HS and Creatr HS XL 3D printers.
