Leapfrog MAXX Essentials ABS is an extremely versatile 3D printing material. Parts printed with ABS are strong and durable, with good mechanical properties. Perhaps the best-known use for ABS is in LEGO; all LEGO bricks are made from ABS.
ABS is the recommended material for 3D printing parts, models and products that need to be resilient to heat, common chemicals and mechanical stresses. It is cost-effective to print with and is a very easy material to work with. It is so widely used, because it strikes a great balance in terms of its mechanical and thermic properties.
MAXX Essentials ABS from Leapfrog is an exceptionally high quality material. It is available in a wide variety of opaque colours, including Royal Silver, Elephant Grey, Sporty Blue, Raven Black and Hot Pink. With excellent impact strength and durability, it can be used to create a huge range of products, from figurines to cogs and spindles.
MAXX Essentials ABS prints at an extrusion temperature of 245-255 °C with a recommended bed temperature of 80 °C. It is compatible with and supported by all Leapfrog 3D printers, with the exception of the Leapfrog Xcel. If you are interested in ESSENTIALS ABS, you should also check out the PRO ABS range, which offers more vibrant colours.
