The EnvisionTEC Perfactory Standard XL takes everything that’s great about the P4 Standard and ups the build volume so that you can print more.
An Extremely Accurate 3D Printer
The P4 Standard XL is low-cost and low maintenance. But, you’ll be purchasing it for what it can do when you press print. To that end, the P4 Standard XL offers plenty.
The P4 Standard XL has a build volume of 115 x 72 x 220 mm (4.5 x 2.8 x 8.66 in) or 84 x 52.5 x 220 mm (3.3 x 2.1 x 8.66 in). That’s an increase in build size to 323 cubic inches from the 225 cubic inches you get with the P4 Standard. With over a third more build volume than the P4 Standard, the P4 Standard XL has the largest build size in the Perfactory range.
A print resolution as low as 22 µm (0.0009 in.) and print speeds of up to 25 mm in height per hour mean the P4 Standard XL can print quality models quickly. It’s suitable for a wide range of applications, including medical, dental, consumer goods and for general manufacturing.
Direct Light Projection Technology
Direct Light Projection (DLP) technology is an alternative technology to stereolithography (SLA). It is an exclusive technology of EnvisionTEC from Texas Instruments.
In tests, DLP has been shown to capture greater accuracy than SLA. It can also work faster than SLA, because it doesn’t cure layers a single line at a time. Instead, it cures large amounts of resin per exposure. The traditional downside to this over SLA is less detail, however, the technology used by the EnvisionTEC Perfactory line of 3D printers uses a more advanced version that doesn’t have the same downside.
Simply put, the P4 Standard XL with DLP offers fast print speeds with an extremely high accuracy. It creates 3D models that are extremely detailed and refined.
