The EnvisionTEC Xtreme 3SP is a large-format 3D printer that utilises EnvisonTEC’s latest-generation 3SP (Scan, Spin, and Selectively Photocure) technology. Offering fast build speeds and high accuracy, the Xtreme 3SP 3D printer prints with a wide range of functional resins making it suitable for a variety of applications.
3SP (Scan, Spin, and Selectively Photocure) technology uses a UV laser to photo-cure resin into solid objects. It rapidly scans and spins to cure the resin where needed. It cures the resin horizontally, which is a faster method than curing it vertically which DLP does. With a speed boost over DLP technology, 3SP is best-suited to larger-format 3D printing, which is why the 3SP 3D printer range consists of printers with large build volumes.
The EnvisionTEC Xtreme 3SP has a 29,497-cubic cm (1800 cubic in.). build area, with a 254 x 362 x 330 mm (10 x 14.25 x 13 in.) build envelope. This gives it nearly twice the build volume of the Ultra 3SP, but less than the Vector 3SP and Vector Hi-Res.
Recommended for manufacturers who will print moulds, prototypes and functional end-use parts, the Xtreme 3SP produces high quality models every time. The 3SP technology can produce accurate parts no matter the geometric complexity of the CAD drawings from which they are based, and the surface quality is second to none. Unlike SLA, 3SP prints parts without ‘stair-stepping’, which is when there’s visible layer lines on the outside surface. This means that manufactures can finally 3D print models with a smooth finish.
Ready to Go
The Xtreme 3SP 3D Printer is delivered and installed with everything you need to get 3D printing right away. The setup process takes a few minutes, after which you can send your designs to print and leave it to do its thing. With build sizes up to 253.6 cubic inches, this is an outstanding range for those of you who require a relatively compact 3D printer that also offers industrial-grade results.
The 3SP range uses unique Selective Photocuring technology to 3D print accurate, detailed parts. This range includes the Ultra 3SP, Ultra 3SP HD, Vector 3SP, Vector 3SP Hi-Res, Xtreme 3SP and Xede 3SP. The printers in this line offer large build areas and extreme accuracy, and they are even capable of printing tools for thermoplastic injection moulding.
