We are the 3D printing arm of a larger company called Express Group Ltd. Fixing printers since 1988, today we are a Specialist Parts Distributor and Experts in 3D Printing.
We take quality control very seriously, which is why we are audited for ISO9001:2015 certification, this helps ensure we provide great customer service.
Formlabs created the world’s first affordable, high resolution stereolithography 3D printer in the Form 1+ and they improved upon their award-winning machine with the Form 2. With an intuitive, stylish and robust design, all Formlabs printers are perfect for rapid prototyping and end-use parts. Grey Pro Resin for Versatile Prototyping
New for 2018, Formlabs Grey Pro Resin is a professional-grade photopolymer that’s engineered for versatile, precise prototyping.
Offering high precision, moderate elongation, good impact resistance and low creep, Grey Pro Resin is a reformulated, improved version of Formlabs’ Grey Resin. With it, you can print beautiful, functional parts with or without finishing.
This material is perfect for functional prototyping and concept modelling. Potential applications include form and fit testing, injection moulding, and manufacturing fixtures, jigs, housings, and casings. Because it is an all-purpose resin, you can use Grey Pro Resin for all your testing purposes, and to create mould masters at cost.
We recommend this material for printing concepts and prototypes. It prints with a matte, opaque finish, and hides its layer lines extremely well. Perhaps its best characteristic, however, is that even the thinnest walls and features print with an opaque, dark grey finish, with parts requiring no priming whatsoever for presentation.
Formlabs Grey Pro Resin is supplied as a 1L cartridge for use with the Form 2 3D printer. It supports 3D printing at both 100 and 50-microns.
Please Note: Requires Resin Tank LT.
Founded in 2011, Massachusetts-based 3D printer manufacturer Formlabs are one of the leaders in the desktop-class stereolithography (SLA) 3D printer market.
Since being founded, Formlabs has invested considerably in research and development to create and manufacture what is without doubt one of the finest SLA desktop 3D printers on the market - the Formlabs Form 2.
Utilising stereolithography as opposed to the better-known fused filament fabrication 3D printing process, you can print high-resolution models that you wouldn’t necessarily be able to with an FFF 3D printer. This reality has put the Formlabs Form series of 3D printers in engineering, design, research, medical, dentistry, art and many other industries that require consistent, high resolution parts and models.
Although the Form 2 is Formlabs’ latest 3D printer, they still manufacture its predecessor the Form 1+ which was announced in 2014. The Form 1+ has a 40 per cent smaller build volume than the Form 2 and it is slower and less precise. For this reason, the Form 2 is the best option for any application, and we recommend this model first and foremost. The gulf in class between the 1+ and 2 offers a tantalising glimpse into the future for Formlabs, though, with future Formlabs 3D printers expected to be even faster and more accurate.
