We are the 3D printing arm of a larger company called Express Group Ltd. Fixing printers since 1988, today we are a Specialist Parts Distributor and Experts in 3D Printing.
We take quality control very seriously, which is why we are audited for ISO9001:2015 certification, this helps ensure we provide great customer service.
Formlabs created the world’s first affordable, high resolution stereolithography 3D printer in the Form 1+ and they improved upon their award-winning machine with the Form 2 and now the Form 3. With an intuitive, stylish and robust design, all Formlabs printers are perfect for rapid prototyping and end-use parts. Rigid Resin for Stiffness and Precision
Rigid Resin is an engineering-grade photopolymer that’s reinforced with glass to create a durable material with outstanding stiffness.
Boasting the highest modulus of all Formlabs materials, this translates to unparalleled dimensional stability, making Rigid Resin the perfect material for 3D printing thin walls and features. Potential applications include manufacturing turbines and fan blades, jigs, fixtures, manifolds, electrical casings, and automotive housings.
Rigid Resin prints with a polished finish. The colour is akin to an off-white. It is highly resistant to deformation over time, so parts manufactured with it will look as new for many years to come, so long as they are cared for properly.
Because it is reinforced with glass for stiffness and stability, Rigid Resin is more brittle than Formlabs’ Tough and Durable resins. This makes parts more susceptible to damage if mishandled. However, Rigid Resin is still extremely impact and heat resistant, making it a very useful material for manufacturing stiff, precise parts.
Formlabs Rigid Resin is supplied as a 1L cartridge for use with the Form 2 and Form 3 3D printers. Rigid Resin is capable of printing in 100 and 50 micron layer resolution.
Founded in 2011, Massachusetts-based 3D printer manufacturer Formlabs are one of the leaders in the desktop-class stereolithography (SLA) 3D printer market.
Since being founded, Formlabs has invested considerably in research and development to create and manufacture what is without doubt an industry leader for desktop 3D printing - the Formlabs Form 3.
Utilising stereolithography as opposed to the better-known fused filament fabrication 3D printing process, you can print high-resolution models that you wouldn’t necessarily be able to with an FFF 3D printer. This reality has put the Formlabs Form series of 3D printers in engineering, design, research, medical, dentistry, art and many other industries that require consistent, high resolution parts and models.
