The UP BOX+ is an upgraded version of the immensely popular UP BOX. It’s a much-improved 3D printer overall, with Wi-Fi connectivity and an open filament system so you can use 3rd party materials. Additionally, you can control the UP BOX+ on your Mac, iPhone or iPad – no longer is a host computer or laptop necessary.
With a 255 x 205 x 205mm (10 x 8 x 8in) build volume, the UP BOX+ gives you room to 3D print all your biggest ideas. The enclosed build chamber offers a perfect environment for models and parts to thrive, while automatic bed levelling takes away the hassle of platform levelling. In addition to these handy specs, the UP BOX+ has a HEPA filter for the reduction of ultrafine particles (UFPs) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Perfect for Schools and Offices
Thanks to relatively compact dimensions and an in-built HEPA filter, the UP BOX+ is perfectly-suited to operating in confined spaces. Offices and school classrooms are prime candidates, with the enclosed build chamber also offering a degree of protection for people who are new to 3D printing (there’s no moving parts on show).
The UP BOX+ is smarter than your average desktop 3D printer too. It has a feature called Power Loss Mitigation, which protects prints against sudden power-loss by pausing the print immediately upon a catastrophic loss of power. It also has a feature called Filament Run-out Mitigation, which pauses the printing process when it detects that the filament source has run out. It then automatically resumes printing when new filament is loaded.
